I have been getting orbs in my digital photographs since 2005. At first I thought they were the result of the flash on reflective surfaces but they have just as often appeared with no reflective surfaces. They almost always appear next to people (granted there are usually people in photographs) and in one case I have one appearing next to a plant. This is a fairly widespread phenomenon so I am only including the more unusual ones and I am not going to speculate too much on their cause as that has been done elsewhere. Some appear to have recognizable images within which I haven't yet seen in others' photos.
